BS990 Badminton Shoes - Orange

The shoes is very nice in supporting your moves, but when in comes to comfort while jumping the bottom cushion doesn't support very well. It causes pain.

As a coach I wear my squash (this model is also promoted as badminton) shoes for many hours a day. Like many shoes they took a bit of wearing in, I did this at home rather than playing and found this helped. They are fairly narrow and as I have wider feet the materials needed to soften up before they became comfortable. This has taken about 20-30 hours of wearing them (at home and on court) but they're shoes designed to do a job so if they were too loose they wouldn't support the feet.

Now they're worn in they're comfortable. The grip is very good, as is the support around the ankle and the front part of the foot. Having said all this, the main thing I look for in a squash shoe is that it has good padding and protection on the sole so that it helps to protect my joints. I have found these to be good in this area and are notably better than the previous shoes I wore but not quite of the standard of my normal shoes. For me, making them in a slightly wider model would make them a very attractive option.

Excellent cushioning, perfect grip, light and rigid, excellent positioning of the foot inside the shoe. Honestly the best squash shoe I ever tried on or bought. Only one comment : the “padding” that is surrounding the foot in the shoe goes up to the end and quite grippy so you need to have big socks and very short nails
